Ever feel “stuck” with your workout routine and feel like you’re not making the progress that you want?
If you are currently in a plateau or not making the drastic transformation that you’re looking for, let me help you!
Here are the things that I did to help me achieve the figure that I have today:
- Focusing on progressive overload. Want to grow a certain muscle group (build that booty)? You have to push yourself at the gym! Challenge yourself every week. Do not settle for doing the same weight every session, as your body will adapt. Up the weight every time you master the initial weight. Putting your body under stress with weights that challenge you will cause your body to change and grow.
- Structuring your diet to promote growth. Proper nutrition is key to building your muscle fibers back up after we tear the during a heavy lifting session. Make sure that your diet reflects an ample amount of protein and that you are eating enough calories to promote growth. You need to be in a caloric surplus to grow, however, focus on getting these calories through nutritious meals that will fuel your body rather than processed foods.
- Master your compound movements. Compound movements such as the squat, deadlift, leg press, etc., will be your best friends in helping you grow the shape and size you are looking for in your lower body. Rather than switching up your lower body workouts every week, focus on progressive overload with your compound movements. Don’t only focus on isolation movements with bands and cables- these will not give you the size that you are looking for. Become familiar with the basics, master your form with them, and add weight throughout time as you master a specific weight. Being patient and consistent with this process will allow you to make glute transformation you want.
